Position Summary: Responsible for the 24-hour operation of the emergency department and the care provided to all patients in this service. Responsible and accountable for leadership, budget preparation, overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies and procedures and standards of care to ensure patient care needs are assessed, evaluated and met. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master’s of Science in Nursing or health related degree preferred or completed within 3 years of hire. Experience:
Minimum of five years clinical experience in the Emergency department, and three years progressive management/leader experience. License / Certification:
Current California Registered Nurse license Basic Life Support – Healthcare provider level.
