St. Joseph Health Certified Nurse Midwife-Healthy Beginnings, Full Time, 8 Hour, Days in Apple Valley, California

Position Summary: The Certified Nurse Midwife functions and works as a part of a team and manages obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal care of selected group of patients. Essential functions include; providing full scope of nurse-midwifery care to patients within assigned clinics/ units; serving as a clinical liaison for staff in Maternal child units; participating in unit/ clinic staff meetings and conferences; and maintaining medical records. The Certified Nurse-Midwife also performs related duties as required. Accountable to the Community Health Director for non-medical related issues and performance of goals and Medical Director for all medical related issues.




Graduation from a Masters level educational program within 5 years of hire. Experience:

Minimum of 2 years acute care experience as an RN in Labor & Delivery. Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred. Training:

Evidence of current continuing education or enrollment in the continuing competency assessment program of ACNM License / Certification:

Current California Nurse-Midwife certification Current California RN License Current California Furnishing certification (within nine (9) months of hire date) Current BLS certification Successful completion of Medical Staff Credentialing process prior to hire BENEFITS
